About The Founder

Danielle is a biomedical scientist, clinical herbalist, published freelance writer and certified instructor in Anatomy & Physiology. She holds Master of Science degrees in both Biomedical Science and Health Science, blending an advanced understanding of human physiology with a passion for traditional herbal healing. She is renowned for her unique integration of anatomy, herbalism, and communal medicine, equipping modern women with the tools they need to become the healers of their own households. As the founder of The Salt & Savor Apothecary, she creates handcrafted herbal products and educational experiences designed to address the physical effects of stress in modern life.

Her work focuses on the signs and symptoms often overlooked—chronic stress that manifests as skin sensitivity, sleep disturbances, and acute muscle and joint pain. Through evidence-based herbal remedies and science-backed education, she helps women understand the body’s signals and find relief rooted in both clinical knowledge and ancestral wisdom.

As the creator of The Anatomy of Stress workshop, Danielle teaches how stress manifests physiologically in the body and connects these responses to the soil, community care, and holistic herbal solutions. Her work bridges biomedical science with communal healing traditions, empowering women to take ownership of their health and healing.

In 2026, she will expand this mission through We Teach to Live, an initiative focused on teaching communal and self-determined healthcare practices. Additionally, she is launching an Herbal & Interventional Health Immersion Program in the Dominican Republic, designed to provide hands-on learning in herbal medicine and holistic healthcare practices for women ready to step deeper into their role as modern healers.

Her mission is simple yet powerful: to honor the wisdom of God, the gifts of plants, and the knowledge of our grandmothers by restoring medicine chests that are effective, dependable, and ready for whatever life throws our way. Through clinically effective herbal products and practical education, she helps women rediscover time-honored ways of caring for themselves and their families. She fights for us to slow down, steward our health, and savor the art of healing within our homes and communities.
